
the photo makes them looked burned but they weren't (obachan has better photos on her blog). these are this crazy biscuit i make because they are light, fluffy, gorgeous and dead simple. just mix 2 cups of flour (self-raising is best, but you can use all-purpose) with 1 to 1 1/2 cups of heavy whipping cream (unsweetened and unwhipped), and a dash salt (optional); form into a ball. turn out onto a floured surface and knewad lightly, ten turns or less. roll out, cut into discs or squares, bake in a 450-500˚F oven for 10 minutes.
