Interesting! That man has been very reluctant to let the media into the house in the past.

I randomly came across your blog while doing a google search for "contact post secret", which led me to your flickr! site, which led me here.

Did you get a chance to see this episode? What's the house like!? This is one hideous monstrosity in an otherwise beautiful neighborhood. I would love to know what these people are like.....

How exciting! I used to love driving by this house when I worked in Koreatown. Remember in the 70s there was a house in Beverly Hills with Greek statuary? When the neighbors complained about the nude statues, the owner painted their naughty bits red! My dad claimed it was the shah of Iran, but I doubt it.

hi kiki! yay, someone remembers that house. it was a 38-room mansion on sunset boulevard, owned by a moroccan millionaire named mohammed al fasi, who was related to saudi royalty by marriage. he painted the mansion this hideous institutional green, and the greek statuary flesh tones, with red genitalia. it burned down sometime in the eighties; the cause was arson, but i believe mr. al fasi was accused of hiring the arsonists himself. i don't remember what happened after that. i think there's still a huge chunk of the estate (if not the whole estate) that's just a grassy lot.

the shah! i think he might have been gaudy but not as vulgar.
