My parents had this hella old refrigerator that had "cold spots" where food would get so much colder than in the other (normal temperature) parts of the refrigerator. That's how I first experienced frozen grapes. The refrigerator is long gone but not the memory of frozen grapes.
Santos! I'd forgotten about this lovely treat. Very useful given I now live in sweltering Singapore. Hope you are enjoying LA, SBL doesn't sound half bad, but then again, I've got the real thing here ;-). Stay cool...

My mom used to keep grapes frozen in the freezer for my brother and I snack on in the summer. Aahhhh...fond memories! Thanks.

mirth, i think it's the tremendous amount of sugar in each grapey globule that creates that creamy texture....
mary, i 'rents have a refrigerator that does the same. they always have unintentionally frozen fruit!

I can't ever get enough of frozen grapes...I can't remember a summer when I haven't had them--oh so wonderful!
These are so testy i like to take grape frozen.
